AMA Shredding 2019

AMA is once again having their annual shredding events in Edmonton. AMA members are encouraged to be fraud aware, by ensuring that their personal documents are properly destroyed.

With AMA’s Fill Our Fleet Campaign, they’re looking to raise $80,000 this year. The shredding events started 12 years ago and during that time, AMA has helped 93,000 AMA members dispose of their personal information safely. That equates to about 2,000 tonnes of paper! Until recently the shredding events were open to non-AMA members so I'm questioning the reference to 93,000 AMA members.

Nikola Berube, Director of Sales at AMA Travel says she believes that when people leave the event, they know that AMA is here to help them protect their personal information. And also that AMA is helping connect its members with organizations such as the food bank to give back to people in need around Alberta.
