Free Comic Book Day is Saturday May 4!
Let the annual celebration of reading and comics begin! The first Saturday of May is FREE COMIC BOOK DAY #FCBD and there are FREE comics rated all-ages, general audiences, and mature readers. Something for EVERYONE!
That’s not all they're giving away at RT HQ… in addition to FREE COMICS:
- DOOR PRIZES valued at $100 each!
- A pop-up ESCAPE ROOM for you to try!
- Gunpla Edmonton will be on hand to showcase and help you build some Gunpla kits!
- There will also be the annual store-wide SALE!
And if you’re feeling charitable after all those giveaways and want to get in on the fun…
They’re accepting donations to the Edmonton Food Bank (cash and non-perishables) in exchange for original artwork from local artists!
- Bring a donation for Edmonton's Food Bank and give it to their volunteers.
- The volunteers will give you a commission slip based on the value of your donation:
- Small B&W Sketch for a $15 donation
- Small Colour Sketch for a $30 donation
- Large B&W Sketch for a $25 donation
- Large Colour Sketch for a $50 donation
Give the slip to the local Artist of your choice:

- Your original artwork will take more than a few minutes to complete, we will give you a call when it’s ready for pick up at RT HQ following the FCBD shenanigans.
