What can I bring to an Electronics Recycling event?
Just because you’re done with your old technology doesn’t mean it’s done storing your personal data. AMA are providing the opportunity to destroy sensitive multimedia materials to prevent fraud.
Here’s a breakdown of what they will (and won’t) accept at electronics recycling events:
Things they will accept:
- Computers and associated equipment, like printers and monitors
- Cellphones and tablets
- Televisions
- Small electronic appliances
- Mixed cables
- Mixed batteries
Things they can’t accept:
- Items containing freon (like a refrigerator)
- Large appliances
- Large workout equipment
- Light bulbs
- Gasoline-powered items
