Are my cash donations tax deductible?

Cash donations of 10 dollars or more made to Edmonton’s Food Bank are tax deductible. Please see our donate page for ways to donate.
Edmonton’s Food Bank registered charitable number is 129 185 310 RR0001.

How will my cash donation be used?

Monetary donations are essential to cover our operating costs and food purchases. Each year, the Food Bank buys between $500,000 and $600,000 worth of food to ensure hampers stay nutritionally balanced.

How old must you be to volunteer in the warehouse?

Warehouse volunteers must be at least 14 years old. We can also accommodate groups of up to 10 if you would like to get your work, team or family together to lend a hand!

My child is under 14 and would like to volunteer, what options are available?

From time to time there are special events that can accommodate children under 14 years old (when accompanied by an adult). Please call Sonia at 780.425.2133 for more information.

Can I donate my time once year

Yes, we can always use the help whether you need volunteer hours for school, would like to help out one time or are available only evenings and weekends.

Can I get a tax receipt for my food donations?

Tax receipts are not provided for food donations. Tax receipts are provided for monetary donations of $10 or more.
